A N Other
Suretec provide a range of OpenLDAP training courses from Beginner to Expert. Each course is offered as a 1 day Tutorial or a 2 day Workshop with extensive practicals.
Courses are designed and written by Symas™ Corporation and Suretec®. Comprehensive student handbook provided for each attendee consists of a full colour set of slides plus relevant charts and tables. Course notes are technically detailed including many hints from prior usage and information directly from the source code.
This one-day course introduces LDAP and delves into the details of LDAP operation, available security options, and explores how LDAP is used today. The course also discusses the X.500 object model and examines schemata that are in common use. An afternoon lab provides an opportunity for hands-on training with a functioning LDAP directory.
This two-day course explores the use of LDAP to solve common system management problems. During the first day, the class explores architecture, DIT design, and schema requirements for PAM authentication, mail handling, and user administration. During the second day students will actually design and implement a PAM-based authentication solution.
Suggested Prerequisites: Introduction to LDAP, Security, and X.500 Objects
This two-day course teaches designers and architects already familiar with LDAP basics how to design LDAP-based solutions. Time is spent evaluating various architectures, discussing where and how they fit best, and where not to use them. Special attention is given to integration with other directory servers, managing directory information, and determining access policies for the directory.
Suggested Prerequisites: Implementing Common LDAP Solutions
